■ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Sure, but I'd rather discuss any really serious injuries or damage to her automail beforehand. Also, I'm putting down a solid 'no' to her dying due to lack of revival mechanic. ICly, she definitely will fight back if the situation warrants it.
♦ Would your character die for another character currently in the game?
Lan Fan would be willing to sacrifice of herself to save her friends (see her cutting off her own goddamned arm to throw off a pursuer), but in this setting she would not lay down her life lightly. She intends to go home at some point and see Ling put on the throne, after all.
♦ Would your character kill for another character currently in the game?
Certainly.
♦ Is your character comfortable with and/or willing to mutilate a dead recruit’s body?
Depends on the purpose. If it's needed for others' survival, she would, but she'd be relatively uncomfortable about it if she knew the dead person.
■ RELATIONSHIPS: Lan Fan is very, very hung up on Ling and doesn't view herself as deserving of affection, so while I would be open to a relationship developing, it's not very likely.
■ MENTAL INFORMATION: Lan Fan's mind is...surprisingly calm, on the surface. She's used to constantly analyzing the surroundings for threats, and has sort of been trained to be 'on guard' at all times. Underneath, though, is a whole lot of repressed emotions and complicated feelings about who she is as a person. One little peek will be all you need to see her devotion to Ling, but she has quite a capacity to care for others that has woefully been ignored because of her upbringing. Certainly a telepath could find the buried and painful grief over her grandfather's death and the feelings of inadequacy that she couldn't prevent it.
■ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Her left arm has been amputated and replaced with steel automail. It's a newer installation, but since signing on with CDC the recovery process has been sped up (though there will be signs that she was abusing the fuck out of her port before that). Typical aches and pains due to changing weather conditions, but rarely bad enough to interfere with a mission.
■ FAVORITE SENSORY INPUT: Sound, particularly that of running water.
■ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS:
♦ Does your character have any physical, emotional, or psychological triggers?
While I normally wouldn't qualify it as a trigger, I feel it deserves mentioning here that Lan Fan is loyal beyond reason to Ling. Any truly serious threat to his life would set her off, either storming through hellfire to save him or railing against whoever was dangling him on a string. This MAY eventually extend to Greed as well, but that's highly dependent on where their CR goes.
♦ Have they told another recruit of these triggers?
Her loyalty to Ling is...kind of one of the most obvious things about her, so most people would pick up on that pretty quickly.
♦ Under what circumstances will they reveal these triggers?
She doesn't really hide her devotion to Ling, so that's a moot point.
■ REBELLIOUS TENDENCIES: Lan Fan wouldn't defy the CDC openly, at least at first. While she doesn't like the organization, she knows they are far more powerful than she is, and if she can keep her lead low she may be able to get what she wants and wash her hands of them.
